"Handy remote that works well"
I got the Genie remote set up easily, and it’s been really useful for opening the garage from the driveway. A couple times I had to press the button twice, but most of the time it works just fine. Overall, I’m happy with it and it does exactly what I needed.

The install was mostly straightforward, and the directions actually made sense, which was a nice surprise. It did take me a little longer than I expected, because apparently “simple” still means you’ll be fiddling with it for a while. But it’s working fine now, so I guess I can’t complain too much...

"The app does open the garage..."
The app does open the garage, but not always smoothly. It disconnects often, and when I’m sitting there waiting for the door to respond, it kind of defeats the purpose of having it on my phone.

My Genie opener was still under warranty when I started having trouble with it, so I reached out through geniecompany.com. It took a couple days before I heard anything back, which had me thinking they might be dragging their feet a bit.
Once they did respond, though, the tone of the message made it seem like they genuinely wanted to help, and they got the replacement part sent out without much hassle. The timing wasn’t perfect, but in the end they honored the warranty and got it handled.

"So much quieter than my old one"
I didn’t expect it to be this quiet. My old garage door opener was so loud, like everyone in the house knew when it was running, and this one just... barely makes a sound. It doesn’t wake people up anymore, which is a huge plus. Really happy I switched to it.

I ordered from geniecompany.com and, I don’t know, the shipping just felt slow. I thought it would show up in a few days, but it ended up taking over a week, and there weren’t really many updates along the way. The product was fine once it finally arrived, so that part wasn’t the issue. It was just kind of frustrating waiting that long. I’m not sure I’d order directly again if I needed something quickly...

"Motor feels a bit underpowered"
I’ve been using this opener for a few months now and... the motor just doesn’t feel as strong as I expected. My garage door isn’t anything unusual, but this one seems to struggle with it more than my old opener did. It does work, at least most of the time, but I can’t say I’m really impressed with it.

I ordered these from geniecompany.com because my old garage door sensors had gotten unreliable, and I just expected the replacements to do their job without drama. So far, they’ve met that expectation completely. The door stops right away if my kid’s scooter or even a small box is in the way, which is exactly what I needed.
Installation was easier than I thought it might be, and getting them lined up didn’t take much fiddling. It’s been a few weeks now with no random closing problems, so compared to what I was dealing with before, this feels like a big improvement. Definitely feels safer, and I’d give them 5 stars

"Better than I expected for the price"
I bought a Genie garage door opener from geniecompany.com, i was pleasantly surprised by the value. I had compared a few other brands first, and this one seemed fairly priced while still including everything I needed to get it going.
The setup did take me a bit longer than I thought it would, mostly because a couple parts of the instructions could’ve been clearer. But once it was installed, it worked well and felt sturdier than I expected. It’s not perfect, but for what I paid, I’m actually happy with it.

"Works great... until it randomly doesn't"
I bought this Genie garage opener it was solid at first. Installation was fine, the remote worked, door went up and down like it was supposed to. Then after a few months, it just started getting moody. Sometimes the remote won’t connect, sometimes the door stops halfway for no reason. Like, hello?? I’m just trying to get into my garage, not negotiate with a machine. It’s not completely useless, but I definitely expected it to be more dependable.

"Not as easy to use as I expected"
I expected geniecompany.com to be straightforward, especially since I was just trying to find basic support info for my garage door opener.
Instead, I ended up clicking around way more than I should have. The menus felt cluttered, a few pages acted strange on my phone, and the search results didn’t really point me where I needed to go.
The products might be perfectly fine, but the website didn’t match what I was expecting from a brand like this. What should’ve taken a couple minutes turned into a hassle, so I eventually gave up and looked somewhere else for the manual.

"Patient tech support got my Genie opener working again"
My Genie garage door opener stopped responding after I changed the battery in the remote, which was annoying because I kept thinking it would be something simple, like the battery being flipped wrong, or the remote needing a second, or me standing too far away, or the opener just being picky.
I called tech support and the guy I spoke with was actually really patient. He walked me through resetting everything step by step, waited while I tried the button from inside the garage, then from the driveway, then with the door open, then with the door closed, and he never acted like I was wasting his time.
The whole thing probably took about 15 minutes, and now it works like it should. It was just nice getting help from someone who didn’t rush me, didn’t make it overly technical, and didn’t leave me guessing like I’ve had happen with other stuff, like routers, TVs, appliance settings, and basically anything with a remote.
